“Dark Cotton” shoot day #1 – still frames

“Dark Cotton” shoot day #1 – still frames

On Saturday, August 1, we had our first shoot day (of three) for the production of our next short film Dark Cotton.  The day was fantastic, though we had a late start and a couple unexpected coordination snaffu’s – the big one being our production coordinator getting a nail in one of her car’s tires while running to the local hardware store to get a couple high-powered spotlight torches.  Outside of the obvious, how/why do you think we used them?

Though we pulled trigger a hour later than planned, we were able to maintain the schedule such that we wrapped the day only an hour behind, as well.

Enough talk about running late though.  Here are many, but not all, of my favorite frame grabs from Saturday’s shoot.  Please note that these frame grabs are ungraded, compressed for the web and watermarked.  To learn more about the film, check out the Dark Cotton project page.

Enjoy!

Beautifully executed. The lighting is perfect for the drama of the tale, as I know it. Looking forward to more stills of places and characters.
