“Dark Cotton” update, more still frames

October has been one of the busiest months for me in the past year, which is an excellent thing; I’m certainly not one to complain!  It’s been a fantastic month, but I didn’t make enough time to post an update about Dark Cotton, plus more still frames from our second and third shoot days!  Thanks for your patience and I hope you find the still frames well worth the wait.

“Dark Cotton” shoot day #1 – still frames

College Admission Documentary Begins

Recently my filmmaker-friend Mike Shum and I began shooting interviews for his documentary on college admission.  The working title for the film is “Am I Good Enough?”  The angle for the film is focused more from the admission counselors’ point-of-view rather than just high school juniors and seniors who are in the middle of the admission process.  Mike is the writer, director and producer, and I’m his D.P. for the project.  As we move forward with shooting I’ll post more stills, maybe even some clips.

For those of you who are production inclined and curious about gear – we’re running 2 DVX100B’s (shooting 30p), Sennheiser G2 wireless lav and a Lowell tungsten kit (Pro lights) for interviews.

These stills are from the first interview with an admission counselor at Colorado College.  These are from the raw footage – no color grading.
